Climatic-derived risk classes for Chikungunya transmission. Temperature requirements for the occurrence of Chikungunya virus were obtained from the analysis of Tilston et al. [29]. Chikungunya virus occurrences are observed for values of the mean monthly temperature in different regions. Virus information is combined with the spatial climatic suitability of the vector Aedes albopictus from Fischer et al. [27].
