The yearly kriging estimates were averaged over the period 1982-2006 and weighted according to the inverse of the binomial kriging standard deviations to assign more importance to more reliable estimates. For black males (BM), results are expressed as the ratio of average proportions for black versus white males (WM) to facilitate the visualization of racial disparities.
