  1. Summary, variables used and resulting AUC values, of MaxENT models run in selecting variables. Subsets had 33 or 52 km, 0.3 or 0.15 decimal degrees in between each outbreak, corresponding to ~52 and 33 km, respectively. MaxENT runs 5–7 were generated using 25 subsets of outbreaks. The AUC values reported here are averages of those AUC’s from those 25 models. Standard deviations are reported in parenthesis
