From the correlation test, there was a significant positive association between the competition index and the hospital's transfusion capacity variables, specifically, the number of blood units received at the hospital (t = 3.57, p = 0.003, Pearson’s r = 0.70, n = 15, 95% CI [0.29, 0.89]) and the number of blood units transfused (t = 3.66, p = 0.002, Pearson’s r = 0.71, n = 15, 95% CI [0.31, 0.89])
